What is an Aluminum Closet Door?
Aluminum Closet Doors are built with a lightweight yet durable extruded aluminum frame available in numerous colors to compliment your home. Aluminum Closet Doors combine the extruded aluminum frame with an insert of your choice ranging from a mirror, frosted glass, white laminated glass, painted glass, or glazed vinyl hardboard, to any one of our numerous options. Aluminum Closet Doors are our most popular Closet Doors.
What are Composite Wood Closet Doors?
Composite Wood Closet Doors are available in Hollow Core, Solid Core, or Ovation doors. Also known as Molded Panels, the Hollow Core, Solid Core, and Ovation doors all look almost identical to each other but are structurally different.
Hollow Core Closet Doors
They feel light-weight and almost insubstantial in your hand, but Hollow
Core Doors are not truly hollow. A thin and rigid cellular honeycomb is
sandwiched between a thin plywood exterior. The cardboard is used to hold
the plywood together and to act as a minor sound block.
Solid Core Closet Doors
Solid Core Closet Doors are about twice the weight of Hollow Core Doors
with a solid particleboard material inside of the thin plywood exterior.
Solid Core doors are even heavier than solid wood doors because composite
wood is an extremely dense material.
Ovation Closet Doors
Ovation Closet Doors, made of medium density fiberboard, are an upgrade
from the Solid Core door. This uniquely layered construction offers over
140 standard designs plus custom design flexibility.
Composite Wood Closet Doors come standard as a factory primed panel or with a flush stained skin. All of these closet doors are perfect for painting to the color of your choice.
A Hollow, Solid Core or Ovation panel can be custom-built to one of the numerous designs and textures we offer. Designs range from Colonial, Rockport, Santa Fe, Camden, Continental, or any one of our other design options.
What is a Steel Closet Door?
Steel Closet Doors are built from a steel (strong alloy of iron and carbon) frame that is heavier yet slightly more affordable than an aluminum frame. Steel frames are available in a handful of colors and combine with a mirror or vinyl hardboard insert to form Closet Doors.
Steel frames are not available for Bi-Fold Closet Doors.
What are Wood Closet Doors?
Wood Closet Doors are available in an assortment of wood species. Wood Closet Door designs include but are not limited to Molded Panels, Louvered, and Raised Panel. Glass Inserts are also available and the most common include Mirror, Painted Glass, and Frosted Glass.
Wood Closet Doors come in either an unfinished wood, factory-primed wood, or one of the many factory-applied paint or stain finishes. Even though identical finishing processes are applied it is not possible to guarantee an exact match in finish between two pieces of wood due to the natural characteristics in color and grain.
Certain panels are available in a texture while other panels are only available in a smooth finish.
What Glass Options are available?
We offer a diverse selection of Glass Options for Closet Doors. The most common Glass inserts include Mirror, Frosted Glass, White Laminated Glass, and Painted Glass.
What Design Options are available?

Yes. Custom Color Painted Closet Doors are available on some models for an additional charge.
What if my Opening Space is Not Square?
If the opening in which the Closet Doors are to be installed in is not square, it will be necessary to bring it in line before the Closet Doors are installed. Installing Closet Doors in a non-square opening will result in a subpar installation and appearance.
Squaring up a Closet Door opening is accomplished by adding left and right side jambs and leveling the jambs until they are perfectly even in width. It is not uncommon to have to add a jamb to the top of the opening as well to get the opening height in line.
What are Closet Door Bypass Finger Pulls?
A Finger Pull is a recessed circular pull handle for Bypass Closet Doors. Finger Pulls are available in Black, Dull Silver, Gold, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, Polished Chrome, and White. Rectangle Finger Pulls are also available upon request.
